The Friday Five: School
1. Are you going to school this fall? If not, what was the most recent year of school you completed?
2. If yes, what kind of schooling are you doing (middle school, high school, undergraduate, graduate, etc.)?Well, I'm a librarian and professor at a college, so I go to school all the time! lol But, I'm not a student, currently. I'm sure I'll get more degrees in the future, as I love learning. :) So far, I have completed a BA in Instrumental Music and a MLIS (Masters of Library and Information Science).
3. Are you someone who enjoys/enjoyed going back to school? As an academic librarian, I teach information literacy related courses to undergraduate students, mostly. (I also teach some music).
4. Do/did you like back-to-school shopping? Why or why not?I love school. If I had the money, I'd take classes all the time. Hopefully, someday, I'll have a job that pays my tuition for me and I'll be able to take a class or two every year. :) I'm not sure what my next degree will be in, math, history, art, cartography...they are all very interesting to me.
5. Are/were you a good student?I did enjoy it because it was a tradition to go with my grandmother every year. I never got very much. One outfit and the major supply needs. I have never seen the point in buying a bunch of new crap just because it's the new school year. My pencil from last year works just fine, thanks. lol But, we did always have lunch and spend time together. As a college/grad school student, I'd say that shopping for the textbooks was stressful and annoying. Not very enjoyable. I do like getting new books though and cracking them open to see what we will be learning.
From The Friday Five Livejournal.Yeah, I liked school and I got good grades. We moved a lot in my life, so I went to tons of schools. It's hard to keep a 4.0 in situations like that. Especially moving to new states...where the education systems are very different, do I didn't always have all A's, but I think I adjusted pretty well to new schools. :)
