Friday 5: Super Bowl Weekend

1. In American football, a fumble occurs when the player carrying the ball drops it, often resulting in a great advantage for the other team. What have you recently fumbled in your own life?
• I wouldn't say I've fumbled, because that implies the advantage to the other person.  I did incomplete a pass though.  ;)  The presentation I gave during my recent interview wasn't awesome...and I didn't get the job.  Oh well...next time! :)
  
2. In American football, you have thrown an interception when someone from the other team catches the ball you meant for your teammate. Who’s often an interceptor of something you intend for someone else?
• I can't say I have this problem in my life.  Now sure how that could happen, actually. lol
  
3. One of the severest penalties in American football is for unsportsmanlike conduct, when a player doesn’t play according to the spirit of fair play. In what situations are you most likely to be a perpetrator of unsportsmanlike conduct?
• I take great care to be fair and understanding.  I would never purposefully act otherwise.  I couldn't say there would be any particular situation that would make me behave in that manner.
  
4. In American football, the concept of running low-risk plays that consistently gain a few yards at a time is called “moving the chains,” while the concept of going after huge gains with higher-risk plays is called the “vertical game.” In your personal life, are you more of a moving-the-chains player or a vertical-game player?
• I'm probably more of a 'moving the chains' person (or shall we say...the running game? lol).  I work hard and diligently and I know that something might take a while, but I'll get there.  :)
  
5. Sometimes in American football, the quarterback will, at the last moment, change his or her mind about the intended play, either to prevent what is likely to be a failure or to take advantage of a vulnerability in the other team. The method used in this play-change is often “calling an audible.” In what way have you recently called an audible in your life?
• I'd say I do that every day.  You always have to be aware of your surroundings and prepared for sudden changes.  I got asked to come into work on my day off.  No problem.  I got asked to rush out and help my stepmom and grandmother today.  No problem.  Every day in my job I get thrown questions that take me out of my routine - just go with the flow and get it done.  No big deal.  I'd say, if your paying attention in life, and not complaining all the time, you'll realize that life is naturally 90% an unplanned thing....it's supposed to be.  Get the core stuff set - the rules to live by...and let life happen around you.  Adjust.  Adapt.  Move forward.  :)
  

**since I don't believe in luck...I'm not sure how to really answer these questions.  I guess I'll just answer those who have been recently blessed with prosperity in these areas, by the grace of God.  :)

My brother got married almost 2 years ago and they are expecting their 2nd child.  :)  They seem to be very happy.

Uh...honestly....my family is pretty poor and we are all suffering from the recession right now.  No money to be seen anywhere!  lol  I can't really say anyone I know has a good money situation right now.

My aunt and uncle are walking the fence.  If they don't take better care of themselves...they are going to die soon.  :(  They need to quit the drugs and get themselves pulled together.  *sigh*

Like I said, I don't believe in luck.  The Lord guides us down our paths.  We all have prosperity and we all have obstacles.  No one's path is any worse than another.  We all have different paths, important paths.  God only gives us what we can endure and we should learn from our experiences and apply our new knowledge to our life and share it with others.  :)

I don't carry good-luck charms.  I do not believe in luck or charms.  I have Jesus Christ.  He is my rock, my salvation, my guide, my protector, and my friend.  I do not fear anything.  I know He will be with me always.  I do not need luck, I have eternal life with my God.  :)

Today!  I usually can't nap during the day, but apparently I was tired!  I haven't slept well the past week, so I'm not surprised.  I got home from teaching my class and immediately laid down because I had a headache.  Ended up falling asleep for 3 hours!

I had some soy milk and cookies last night, actually.  Well, one cookie.  :)

When I was very young.  I am phobic of being immersed in water.  I do not take baths...I only shower.

When I was young.  That's just silly now..not to mention, I'd probably break the furniture and hit my head on the ceiling.  LOL

I have dogs...dogs that get their leads stuck around things all the time due to over-curious minds.  ;)  Therefore, I squish through the mud to retrieve them on a daily basis.  :)
